Cypress Oaks Tree Clearing

Many residents in Enchanted Oaks, Cypress Forest, and Cypress Forest Lakes have been contacting our District Manager, as well as Harris County WCID No. 110 (“WCID 110”) Board of Directors about the tree clearing taking place between the sewer plant and I-45. This property is owned by Cypress Creek Townhomes, LTD (“CCTO”) and lies within the WCID 110 boundaries. WCID 110 has no zoning authorization, nor does it have the legal right to restrict development of property within its boundaries. To the extent that WCID 110 has available water and sanitary sewer capacity to serve a proposed development within its boundaries, WCID 110 is obligated to provide such services. New Constable Office In WCID110?

Just want to make the residents aware of something pretty big that the WCID110 Water Board has been working on. We have had a small constable office next to the sewer plant that has grown to 8 full-time constables that are contracted by the Water District. Another 5 work off-duty about 35 hours per week for added security in Forest Oaks Park and making rounds through the District to check on the water plants, lift stations, drive the neighborhood streets, etc. The Water Board has been bombarding the Constable with requests to add a larger satellite office inside WCID110 with more constables for years. As of about a month ago, there were plans put into motion that may be bringing this life. A

Not sure if many of you use the "Next Door" app or not (there are SO many social apps to weed through), but there have been some recent discussions mentioning the current tree clearing by Hendricks Development on Cypress Oaks Dr. and mentioning a few other topics about the Wa ter District that people may not understand. I am going to share a couple of the reply comments made by one of the Water District Directors (Jerry Strickland) that some of you may be interested in. Let me remind ALL of the WCID110 residents that Water Board meetings are conducted on the 2nd Wednesday of every month and on the 3rd Thursday of every month at 5PM unless otherwise posted. ATTENTION ENCHANTED OAKS RESIDENTS!!! WCID110 IS STARTING A MAJOR SEWER LINE REHAB & REPLACEMENT FOR ENCHANTED OAKS SECTION 1, 2 & 3. 1ST UP: MARCH 6-17 ENCHANTED LANE ENCHANTED HOLLOW WE WILL POST UPCOMING DATES FOR THE OTHER STREETS AS THEY ARE SCHEDULED.
