WCID110 Constable Building Groundbreaking

The new Constable building is underway!

We had about 50-60 people there for the 'ground breaking', including the Directors of WCID110, State Rep Valorie Swanson, Constable Herman and representatives from Harris County Commissioner Cagle's office, along with representatives from Lowes, Home Depot, Brothers Pizza, 24 hour fitness, Enchanted Oaks HOA, and many local businesses.

The total cost of the new building will be in the $1.5 million dollar range. The facility will house between 40-60 'contract deputies' working the area nears Aldine Westfield and over toe the Kuykendahl areas. The initial contracts are for dirt work and revised drainage pipes and will take about 70-90 days. The Water District, WCID110, will be publishing the bids for the building construction about mid April so to begin the actual building construction in late June or early July with a target date to move in about October 1, 2018.

It could not have been done without the full cooperation and participation of the Lowe's people, Hugo Saldana and other Lowe's execs. Also the full and active participation of the Pct 4 Constables office, in the design of the actual floorplans, security, fencing, and parking layouts, including Constable Mark Herman who had a 'get it done' attitude from the start, Chief Stewart, Capt Glaze and Lt Beck! Thanks to these guys it is going to happen! More police presence! We are looking forward to our Ribbon cutting and dedication service in late September or early October 2018.
