Tennis Courts 5 - 8 Renovation Project
Anticipated Timeline: August 4 - September 5

In an effort to complete the transformation of our tennis courts, we are scheduled to do significant renovations to courts 5 - 8 so they are comparable to our new courts. this project will be done in two phases and those phases will overlap timelines, weather permitting.

Phase 1: Installation of new MUSCO lights for courts 5 - 8.

Phase 2: Court resurfacing, net post replacement, install 2nd practice backboard on side of court 6, repair of perimeter fencing, and install new windscreen.

MUSCO lights: If you have seen our courts at night, you know that courts 1 - 4 have the new MUSCO lighting system and courts 5 - 8 have the old LED flood lights. We will be removing the current eight (8) light poles on 5 - 8 and they will be replaced with six (6) new 50' MUSCO lights. Our current light strength is an average of 12 and there are significantly higher and lower light levels throughout the courts. With new MUSCO lights, we will have an average 50 candle strength evenly spread along the courts with minimal spillage or wasted light.

The courts have not been resurfaced in nine years, so once the new poles are installed, Quality Courts and Outdoor will replace all court net posts (they are old and bending inward), repair the chain link fencing around the courts with new tension wires and repairing connector poles, and then cleaning and resurfacing all four courts. Once completed, Forest Oaks will install a new 2nd practice backboard on the side of court 6 and new windscreen similar to what is on courts 1 - 4.
