What is National Night Out?

National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make neighborhoods a safer, better place to live. National Night Out is designed to:

  • Heighten crime and drug prevention awareness.

  • Generate support for local anti-crime efforts.

  • Strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships.

  • Send a message to criminals letting them know neighborhoods are organized and fighting back.

Community Potluck: We encourage District residents to showcase their cooking or baking skills and bring something to the community potluck. Tables will be provided and we encourage all potluck participants to bring dishes on disposable plates/dishes so you don't have to wait to get your items back.
