What is National Night Out?

National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make neighborhoods a safer, better place to live. National Night Out is designed to:

  • Heighten crime and drug prevention awareness.

  • Generate support for local anti-crime efforts.

  • Strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships.

  • Send a message to criminals letting them know neighborhoods are organized and fighting back.

Visit the National Association of Town Watch website to learn more about the National Night Out campaign and how it is celebrated across the nation.

What about food and drinks?

Drinks: WCID110 will provide more than enough water and soda for the event.

Woodall's BBQ will provide some of the best BBQ in Houston and we are always thankful for Mr. Stone and his team for participating in the event. The menu for the evening has not been set but it will include BBQ sandwiches, chips, sides, and drinks.

Community Potluck: We encourage District residents to showcase their cooking or baking skills and bring something to the community potluck. Tables will be provided and we encourage all potluck participants to bring dishes on disposable plates/dishes so you don't have to wait to get your items back. To submit your potluck contribution, please use the button.
