We are just two days away from our Easter Egg Hunt event at Forest Oaks Park and wanted to provide a couple of updates, specifically about parking and golf cart shuttles.

You can find all info about the event on our website at: https://www.wcid110.com/easteregghunts

Park Parking Lots

  • The parking lots for the park will be dedicated to those with handicap plates/placards, those with mobility issues, and for our event vendors. All other attendees will need to park in either the lower tennis parking lot, Lemm Elementary parking lots, or along Cypress Oaks.

  • We will have four golf carts (6 passenger and 8 passenger) providing shuttles from the Lemm parking lot and along Cypress Oaks Dr. as frequently as possible. The golf carts will have signs on them for which location they are going to.

  • There will be blue sandwich boards at the pick-up/drop-off locations. Our staff will be shuttling folks as quickly and safely as we can, so please have patience. The shuttles will drop off at the main gate of the park.

  • Shuttles will also provide rides back to those parking locations.

Egg Hunt time

  • 4 and under: 10:30 a.m.

  • 5 - 8 years old: 10:45 a.m.

  • 9-12 years old: 11 a.m.

  • If you miss a hunt for your child's age, just jump into the next scheduled hunt.

Golden Eggs

  • Each hunt will have four "golden eggs." They aren't actually gold, but instead of candy or a prize, they will have a ticket for a special prize.

  • If you go through the eggs at the park and find one of these tickets, Denise Simples (our office manager) will have the prizes on site. If you don't go through the eggs at the park (WHICH IS FINE), just bring the ticket to the Forest Oaks Clubhouse office anytime Monday - Friday between 9a - 5:30p and we will get your prize for you.

Community Vendors

We have a couple of community members who will have vendor booths outside of the main park entrance. Please go check out the items they are selling.

Games and Activities

We will have plenty of games and activities for all ages around the front of the park. Arts and crafts, photobooths, some carnival rides, and Texas Snakes and More. Volunteers from Klein Collins, Klein Oak and Sam Houston State University will be there passing out candy and prizes for playing.

Wooden Egg Decorating Competition

We have several submissions this year and they are all fantastic!!!! These will be displayed at Pavilion 1 and we hope you will take the time to vote on them! You can also vote online: https://forms.gle/j7HVjN8MLNb8MTpLA

Weather

We don't anticipate any weather issues Friday or Saturday, but it is potentially going to be pretty cool Saturday morning (which is most welcomed!!!).

Excited to be hosting this event and hope you can make it!!!!
