We are very excited about this year's National Night Out on Tuesday, October 6 from 5:30 - 8 p.m. in Forest Oaks Park. This is always a fun time for our community and this year we expect to see a great turnout!!!

Parking:

  • The main park parking lot will be available for those with handicap tags or those with mobility issues and law enforcement/emergency response vehicles.

  • Parking will available at Lemm Elementary, along Cypress Oaks Dr., or the lower tennis parking lot at Forest Oaks.

  • Parking is NOT allowed on Joanleigh Dr., Chisos Trail, or the entrance area of the HOA next to the park.

  • Golf cart shuttles will run from Lemm Elementary and along Cypress Oaks Dr. to get to and from your vehicles. Just look for the carts as they are driving. They will drop off and pick up next to the event entrance of the park.

Food:

  • All participants must check in when arriving and you will received a wrist band for a 15 minute time block to get food. This is to minimize waiting in lines and allows you to go enjoy the event. One wristband will get you one BBQ sandwich bag from Trail Boss BBQ OR one plate of pizza from Brothers Pizza.

  • Trail Boss BBQ sandwich bags - includes a BBQ sandwich, chips, and a cookie.

  • Brothers Pizza - 2 or 3 slices per plate

  • Brusters Ice Cream - one cup

  • Hot Dogs provided by Forest Oaks Swim Team Barracudas - hot dogs are free for all and you can get them whenver you want...no time frame for these...grab and go whenever through the event until they are gone.

  • Community Potluck - if you would like to bring a dish to the event, there will be tables set-up for you to drop it off. We do highly recommend that you bring throw-away tray and we will provide utensils.

  • Food Assistance: For those who are with others that have mobility issues or are not able to stay in line to get food, you can email us before hand at office@hcwcid110.com or speak with Denise Simples at the check in tables and she will work with you to get you wristbands for those individuals. We will not provide wristbands for one person to get additional wristbands for individuals who are not attending the event. We have planned for enough food for attendees based on previous years.

Drinks:

  • Water will be provided in multiple locations.

  • No sodas are provided this year.

Entertainment:

  • Les Schneider will provide live acoustic music throughout the event on the main stage (big trailer).

  • Games and activities facilitated by Klein Collins and Klein Oak student volunteers.

  • Arts and crafts for everyone!

  • Playground

  • Raffles for adults (or kids) - QR codes will be located on all tables and all you have to do is scan the QR code and submit your name. We will do raffles every 10 minutes or so until all items are gone. Must be present to win!

Other things happening:

  • Walgreens will have staff set up at Pavilion 1 administering flu shots for those that are interested.

    • There is no cost associated with this service. Walgreens can bill existing medical insurance benefits, and for those without insurance, Walgreens can provide vouchers to cover the cost of vaccination.

  • Dominique Dawes Academy will have a booth and provide information about their new facility and programs available to our community. They are located on the east side of I-45 and are open for business!!!

Law Enforcement, Emergency Response, and elected officials involvement:

  • Precinct 4 Constables and Constable Mark Hermann

  • Spring Fire Department

  • Precinct 3 Commissioners Office - Commissioner

  • Tom Ramsey

  • State Representative Valerie Swanson

We are excited to see everyone on Tuesday, October 6 at National Night Out!!
